However, the Bowman-Haley Lake and Dam, located southeast of Bowman, has 17 miles of scenic shoreline offering year-round recreational opportunities and a haven for a wide variety of wildlife. Weather modification is a tool used to benefit the semi-arid climate in the region; learn how it works and why it is a useful tool. Tour participants will also learn about Bowman Wind, a wind energy project that will generate 200 megawatts of energy, powering up to 72,000 U.S. homes. The tour begins and ends in Bowman.\nThe public is invited to attend the tour, which costs $30 per person, and includes transportation, informational materials, meals, refreshments and a one-year digital subscription to the North Dakota Water magazine.\nRegistration is required for this tour. For questions or to register, contact Julie Ellingson ( mailto:jellingson@ndwater.net ) or call 701-223-8332.\nJuly 30 – Bowman Tour Agenda\n2025 Water Tours Brochure\nThe North Dakota Water Education Foundation would like to thank this year’s tour sponsors.
