The North Dakota Water Users (NDWUA) Board of Directors approved the 2024-2027 Strategic Plan at the board meeting on July 11. This plan will guide the organization, which is a statewide membership organization dedicated to protecting, developing, and managing North Dakota’s water resources, through 2027.

In January of 2024, the NDWUA began this strategic planning process that involved a comprehensive survey of members and stakeholders, in person planning sessions with a cross section of members, and a member focus group and key stakeholder interviews. The plan includes the vision and mission of the North Dakota Water Users, three specific goals to focus on for the coming years, and objectives, strategies and tactics for achieving those goals. The goals focus on advocacy, membership and resiliency of the organization.
