The North Dakota Water Education Foundation was created to increase understanding and knowledge about water resource issues in North Dakota. Knowledge and understanding are essential for informed decision-making. Through the programs of the North Dakota Water Education Foundation, information about water supply and delivery, water management, water quality, and other water issues will result in wise decisions for the present and the future.
The North Dakota Water Education Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation. The Foundation is governed by a 15-member board of directors, representing a variety of areas and interests across the state. All of the Foundation’s programs are under the supervision of a management committee.
In honor of Russell L. Dushinske and Warren L. Jamison’s distinguished service, dedicated leadership and lifelong devotion to water development in North Dakota, the North Dakota Water Education Foundation, family members, friends and colleagues established the Dushinske & Jamison Water Resource Scholarship Endowment within the North Dakota Community Foundation.
Income from the Dushinske & Jamison Water Resources Scholarship provides four $1,500 scholarships to deserving students whose families have taken active roles in North Dakota water management.
Contributions to the Dushinske & Jamison Water Resource Scholarship Endowment may be made through the North Dakota Water Education Foundation, PO Box 2254, Bismarck, ND, 58502.
Scholarship applications are available online or at the North Dakota Water Education Foundation office yearly in January. The scholarship deadline is April 1, 2019.
We’re looking for those hidden away people and places to help us showcase North Dakota’s water treasures. Take a picture suitable for the magazine’s front cover. It could be a scenic river scene, misty morning, frosty tree, or a dew-covered flower – the possibilities are endless!
