The Red River Retention Authority (RRRA) is taking applications for a full-time consulting Executive Director in a multi-state office, representing 7 watershed districts in Minnesota and 14 water resource districts in North Dakota.
Primary duties include promotion and development of floodwater retention projects throughout the Red River of the North Basin, working with multiple units of government in both Minnesota and North Dakota, Federal and state agencies, cities, counties, and other water and natural resource agencies and non-governmental organizations.
Minimum qualifications require 4-year B.S. degree in agriculture, engineering or other applied sciences or an equivalent combination of education/training/experience and a minimum of 2-years expertise working with the units of government and non-government organizations listed above.
The year-round consulting position allows for flexibility in the work schedule and allows for work to be done from the official office or remotely. Consultant may utilize the equipment, materials, and services owned by the RRRA, at no expense to consultant.
Starting salary range is $100,000 to $120,000 based on qualifications and experience. Closing date is June 2, 2023.
